
Waldorf, MD— Thomas Stone High School Class of 2017 is keeping track of its scholarship offers that are rolling in. As of Nov. 30, the class has earned more than $1.2 million in scholarships and 56 seniors have been accepted into two- and four-year colleges and universities.
The Common Black College Application program has helped in the process. The application allows students to apply to 49 Historically Black Colleges and Universities for $35. By the end of November, eight students have been accepted to more than 22 HBCU colleges and universities and awarded $71,000 in scholarships.
Stone senior, Tania Harris, has earned more than $375,000 is scholarship money as of the end of November.
