PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert Animal Welfare League (CAWL) has announced the date and time of this year’s Spring Fling event to benefit its animals.
The Spring Fling event will take place at the shelter, located at 1040 Prince Frederick Blvd., on March 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include games and activities for kids, a bake sale, a silent auction and local vendors on site. Heidi’s Eats & Sage’s Treats food truck will also be on site for the duration of the event. The Second Chance Thrift Shop, which supports the shelter, will be open to customers.
Attendees will also get the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny and talk to an animal trainer to answer all their questions about bringing home a new pet.
And of course, there will be adoptable pets on site. CAWL has not provided information on which pets will be in attendance, but you can view all of its adoptable animals on the organization’s website and learn more about the adoption process.
CAWL is involved in several events throughout the year, including the popular Hound of the Town event in North Beach. This fun annual costume parade draws dozens of participants each year, as pets and their owners don fun costumes and compete for awards.
You can follow the shelter on Facebook for the most up-to-date information about events and the animals. The shelter is open Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for adoptions.
