At 1:18 pm on Thursday, Feb. 16, TFC M. Moore responded to Cingular Wireless on Three Notch Road, California, for a reported theft of two cell phones totaling a value of $500.
A surveillance tape was viewed by TFC Moore and store employees. The suspect was identified as Frank McKinley Smith, 19, of Lexington Park.
Contact was made with Mr. Smith and he admitted he did steal the phones. The phones were recovered and returned to Cingular.
On Sunday, Feb. 19, Smith was served with a criminal summons to appear in court to answer to the theft charge.
