Suspect in Knife Assault Found Passed Out by Police

On July 24 at 12:45 a.m., DFC T. Phelps responded to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office for an assault report. 

The victim advised that his roommate came into his bedroom through an open window, pushed the victim to the ground and held a knife to him.  Another roommate heard the incident and was able to calm the suspect.  The suspect then reportedly walked away from the victim and was throwing beer bottles around the house.  The victim and third roommate immediately drove to the Sheriff’s Office to report the incident. 

DFC Phelps responded to the residence, a home on Pine Tree Drive in St. Leonard and observed the suspect passed out on the floor. 

The suspect was identified as Jorge Luis Reyes, age 38.  He was charged with Second-Degree Assault.
