Prince Frederick, MD— On July 31, Calvert Countyย Sheriff’s Office Deputy Williamson responded to the area of Church Street in Prince Frederick for a report of a burglary.ย
While en route, the complainant, advised that a male in his 20s, wearing a white tank top was found, “standing in the living room of the residence on Church Street,” according to charging documents. ย
The complainant advised he was an owner of the property and that the male needed to leave. The male was later identified as James A. Marsh, 23 of Chesapeakeย Beach.ย
Marsh was located sitting on a bench in the area of Church Street. Williamson immediately identifiedย Marsh as a suspect that he had dealt with in previous burglaries.ย
Williamson asked Marsh what was going on and the suspect said he hadย just left a house, pointing to a white house located on Church Street. Williamson asked how long Marsh had beenย stayingย there and Marsh advised, “off and on since he had gotten out of jail,” according to charging documents.ย
Marsh then advised that the son of the property owner told Marsh it was okay for him to be on the property. However, Marsh could not rememberย the son’s name.ย
Marsh was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where he was charged with fourth-degree burglary, maliciousย destruction of property and littering. The latter charge stemmed from the alleged dumping of debris underย 100ย pounds.ย
Marsh has a scheduled District Court appearance set for Sept. 29. Marsh faces a maximum jail sentence of three years and three months and/or a maximum fine of $2,000.ย
