On Oct. 4, at 3:08 a.m., CPL E. White stopped a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix for crossing the center line, in the area of MD Route 260 at Horace Ward Road in Owings.
CPL White approached the vehicle and immediately detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
The operator, Nicholas Michael DeGren, 19 of Chesapeake Beach, was asked to exit the vehicle. Search incident to DeGren’s arrest revealed that the suspect was in possession of suspected CDS (marijuana).
DeGren was arrested for DUI, and was taken to the Prince Frederick MSP Barrack for processing. DeGren was then taken to the Calvert County Detention Center to await a hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
