At 3:02 p.m. on Feb. 14, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Domino’s Pizza at 2256 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an assault with a handgun.

Investigation revealed Nicholas Paul Ellis, 17, of Waldorf entered the business and attempted to enter the employee work area but the door was locked. Ellis brandished a handgun and pointed it at the clerk, a 20-year-old Waldorf man, and ordered him to come outside. The clerk refused and Ellis, who is familiar with a female employee, left the area with several other males in a gray Cadillac.

Officers located the vehicle shortly thereafter on St. Marks Drive near Huntington Woods Drive in Waldorf. They arrested Ellis and charged him as an adult with first-degree assault. Officer J. McKenzie investigated.
