On May 20, St. Mary’s Cpl. Milam responded to Chopticon High School in Morganza, for the report of property destruction.
Investigation revealed three school staff members were at the school checking the building and property when they observed a vehicle circling the area and then parked across the street from the high school. Three subjects entered on to the school property by jumping the fence at the athletic field.
The staff members detained the three subjects until police arrival. The subjects were in possession of four cans of spray paint. Further investigation revealed the subjected intended to paint the school’s barn. Two juvenile males, ages 17 from Hollywood and Leonardtown, and Scott Jennings Moore, 18 of Drayden, were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Malicious Destruction of Property and Trespassing on school property.
