The Lusby Business Association will host its second collaborative customer appreciation event, Spring Fling Block Party, on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 1pm-4pm. The Lusby Town Center-wide event will include activities at the Lusby shopping centers: Lusby Commons and Lusby Center.
The community event will be filled with lots of family fun activities including: live music, several moon bounces, face painting, basketball games, raffle giveaways, free samples, sidewalk sales and a scavenger hunt.
“We’re so excited to do a town-center-wide block party again this year. This event is an opportunity to tell our customers that we appreciate their business, and promote the importance of shopping local,” said Nance Pretto Simmons, president of the Lusby Business Association.
The Lusby Business Association is the fastest growing business association in the county. It was founded in 2009 for the purposes of providing a local forum for businesses in Lusby, Maryland to strategize and partner with fellow local businesses to improve and stabilize the local economy by participating in collaborative endeavors. The LBA seeks to promote public awareness on the importance and value of buying local to improve the profitability and vitality of businesses in Lusby.
