The Newtowne Players announce open auditions for the upcoming production of Migration Route, a one-act drama by local playwright Trish Cole. On a March morning, a grieving couple waits for the migratory return of the osprey to the St. Mary’s River for the nesting season. There are roles for one man and one woman in their mid-20s to mid-40s. The show will represent The Newtowne Players at the 2013 Maryland Community Theatre Festival, Jan. 18-20, 2013, in Wye Mills, Md. Actors must be available to perform in April 2013 if the show places at the state festival and moves forward to the regional level of competition.
Auditions will be held Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at Three Notch Theatre on 21744 South Coral Drive in Lexington Park. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Nov. 10.
