Largo, MD — The 19 branches of the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, from Accokeek to Upper Marlboro, are celebrating Love Your Library month in April, and we have gifts for our community. Extended service hours have just been added at four branches. Special events are happening all month long, including poetry, music (karaoke!) and art. Book bags brimming with advanced readers are going to be given away at the end of the month. Also, the County Council issued a Proclamation celebrating the good work that goes on every day in your libraries.
This year’s theme is Libraries Transform. Please share how your library has helped in your life on social media; just search for PGCMLS and like us/tweet us. The Library’s goal is to enhance our communities, to educate, to engage with our customers, their friends and families and to enrich their lives. So make visiting the library part of your routine. You are always welcome with your questions at any of our branches, but be sure to come by this month to say, “Hello.”
