
HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — A fire broke out in a one-story home in the 800 block of Pat Lane around 12:30 p.m. on February 17, 2024, prompting a response from fire and rescue personnel.
Although initial reports suggested possible entrapment, all occupants of the home had evacuated by the time crews arrived on scene, according to Calvert Emergency Communications.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered smoke and flames emanating from the rear of the home. The fire was located in a bedroom, which was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
Three civilians were transported to the hospital with injuries. No firefighter injuries were reported.
