
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — One person was transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after a serious three-vehicle crash shut down Route 231 near the 7-Eleven in Prince Frederick.
The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on May 20, 2026, in the area of 3675 Hallowing Point Road. Upon arrival, crews found three vehicles involved, with one vehicle overturned and one occupant trapped.
One of the vehicles was located approximately 500 feet from the main crash area.
Firefighters extricated one occupant through the windshield.
EMS evaulated one person, who was transported to CalvertHealth Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
At least one occupant refused medical care at the scene.
Route 231 was shut down in the area of the crash while emergency crews operated and vehicles were removed.
The crash remains under investigation.
