On February 18 at 2:49 p.m., Cpl. J. Timko initiated a traffic stop on a minivan in the 6000 block of Indian Head Highway after observing a speeding violation.
Upon approaching the vehicle, Cpl. Timko smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside the van. After investigating further, Cpl. Timko discovered three large bags containing nearly four pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $31,000 hidden under a rear seat. Cpl. Timko also found drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash.
The driver, Jason Dunston Williams, 30, of Virginia, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession paraphernalia and possession of narcotics production equipment.
