On June 3 at 3:33 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 15000 block of Potomac River Drive in Cobb Island for the report of a burglary that just occurred.
Investigation revealed the suspect entered the victim’s house and stole a diamond ring and money. The homeowner saw the suspect and confronted him as he was leaving the house. The suspect fled in a white pick-up truck with a freezer in the bed of the truck.
Responding officers observed the truck near Route 257 and Butler Road and initiated a traffic stop. Officers spoke with the occupants and discovered they had been at the house trying to sell steaks and meat. At that point, the occupants were asked to exit the car and upon doing so, the stolen ring and money were observed on the seat.
The suspect, Christopher Michael Wright, 29 of Baltimore, was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.
