On July 16, just after 2 a.m.., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Gardiner Equipment at the 11700 block of Vernon Road in Waldorf for the report of a burglary in progress.
When officers arrived, they observed the suspects trying to steal an ATV from the business. The suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended a short distance away.
Further investigation revealed the suspects drove to Charles County in a car stolen from Prince George’s County. The car was recovered on Holly Auto Center Lane.
The suspects, Nathaniel Joshua King, 26 of Washington, D.C., Marlin Antwoine Nichols, 20 of Arlington, Va., and Letrace Guy Green, 23 of Washington, D.C., were charged with burglary, destruction of property, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and rogue and vagabond.
They were remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with $50,000 bond. Det. A. Schwab is investigating.
