At 12:29 am, on Friday, Feb. 10, TFC J. Linger stopped a vehicle on Route 5 at Route 6, Charlotte Hall, when the driver was observed not wearing a seatbelt.
Upon contact with the driver, Matthew Thomas Wojtkowski, 25, of Pomfret, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable cause search revealed a bag of marijuana hidden in between the engine air filter and engine battery.
Wojtkowski was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
