GREAT MILLS, Md. — One person was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole Tuesday night in Great Mills.
The crash was reported around 9:47 p.m. at Chancellors Run Road and Military Lane.
Emergency crews arrived to find a vehicle that had struck a pole, with one person suffering injuries. Due to the severity, a medevac helicopter was requested.
The patient was transported by ambulance to the Maryland State Police Aviation Command hangar at St. Mary’s County Regional Airport, where they were flown to an area trauma center for treatment.
Police were on scene, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
