At 3:53 p.m. July 6, Mechanicsville Volunteer Firefighters and Rescue Squad members responded to a crash on Three Notch Road, south of the intersection with Point Lookout Road.
Mechanicsville VFD Assistant Chief John Raley reports Rescue Squad 2 (Chief 2A) arrived confirming two vehicles, one overturned in the nortbound lanes of Three Notch Road just south of Valley Wood Court.
Northbound Three Notch Road was closed to traffic.
Chief 2A confirmed there was no entrapment, but had two patients. Upon further assessment by EMS personnel, the decision was made to helicopter medevac both victims to a trauma center.
An additional patient refused any medical treatment.
Engine 24 established the landing site at Three Notch Road and Ben Oaks Court for Trooper 7. Both patients were transported to Prince George’s Hospital.
