Ambulance from Solomons which was in the area leaving Calvert Memorial Hospital and two ambulances from Company 4 (Prince Frederick Rescue) and ambulance from Company 6 (Huntingtown) were dispatched on the call. Also the Rescue Squads from Prince Frederick and Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched.
Once units started arriving on the scene, it was confirmed with two patients as entrapment. The two patients with entrapment would require being transported by helicopter because of their injuries. There were another three patients who would be transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital. Later there was a fourth patient who needed transport with minor injury to the arm.
Calvert County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
