BEL ALTON, Md. — Two people were taken to a hospital Wednesday morning after a vehicle hit a tree and overturned in a crash in Charles County.

The crash was reported around 10:50 a.m. June 3, 2026, in the area of Crain Highway and Mt. Air Road in Bel Alton.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle on its side. No one was trapped, and a helicopter was not needed.

A 40-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man were transported by ground to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
