CALIFORNIA, Md. – On August 17, 2024, at approximately 4:12 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of southbound Three Notch Road and Miramar Road in front of Walmart.
Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles involved in a head-on collision with two occupants injured. EMS evaluated the patients on the scene and transported them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for care. EMS evaluated an additional occupant near the Harbor Freight store.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.

Head-on collision?!… it’s a divided highway!
Yup. Looks like blue truck was coming out at light to merge and silver car hit the side of it. Someone did yield.
That’s not a head-on collision…but a form of sideswiping.
Blue truck was traveling south and gold car was in the northbound turn lane trying to go into the Walmart parking lot.
