At 7:45 p.m. Sept. 11, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton for the report of two women being treated for stab wounds they suffered during a fight which occurred earlier in the evening in Waldorf.

Investigation revealed the two women and a witness were arguing with three other women, one of whom brandished a knife and cut the two victims who later sought treatment at the hospital.

The assault was part of an ongoing dispute between the two groups of women. The other three women involved in the fight were identified and charged on Sept. 18.

Natasha Lashay Bacote, 22, of Clinton, who used the knife during the assault, was charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree assault. Shanna Nicole Baltimore, 22, of Oxon Hill was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and affray. Sharday Jean Bethea, 22, of Waldorf was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

The two victims, who initiated the fight which led to the stabbing, will also be charged with assault. They are a 21-year-old Waldorf woman and a 23-year-old Forestville woman. Det. B. Buchanon investigated.
