On Saturday, January 6, 2007, TFC Evans was patrolling Rt. 235 in the area of Airport Drive in California. He observed 2003 Dodge Durango failing to drive in a single lane. A routine traffic stop was initiated for the violation.
Contact was made with the driver, William Taylor, 45, of Suitland. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath and person. Further investigation revealed Mr. Taylor was in possession of a plastic bag of marijuana. Mr. Taylor was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana.
Mr. Taylor was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in Leonardtown pending a bond review.
