WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf teenager is being held without bond after investigators recovered multiple firearms during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Charles County, according to court records.

The suspect was identified as Lance Xavier Hinton, 19, of Waldorf. Charging documents state the incident occurred on Jan. 21, 2026, at a home in the 2300 block of Tacoma Place.

According to a statement of probable cause, members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence as part of an investigation into firearm violations. Hinton was present inside the home at the time of the search.

During the search, deputies reported recovering two firearms, both allegedly lacking serial numbers. One was described as an AR-style pistol, while the other was a Polymer 80-style handgun. Investigators also located ammunition, firearm magazines, and related items inside the residence.

Police reported that Hinton, who is under the age of 21, admitted ownership of the firearms and related items after being advised of his rights. The recovered weapons were seized and logged into evidence.

As a result of the investigation, Hinton was charged with possession of a regulated firearm by a minor and possession of a firearm without a serial number, both misdemeanor offenses under Maryland law.

Court records show Hinton was ordered held without bond following his arrest. That decision was upheld during a bail review hearing on Jan. 22 in Charles County District Court. A trial-related officer scheduling hearing is set for March 27.
