On Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 4:55 pm TFC Linger observed a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling northbound on Route 5 at Route 242. A check of the registration plate showed that the registration was cancelled and it should have been displayed on a Lincoln.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Teresa Lynn Martone, 35, of Lexington Park. A check through MVA showed that Ms. Martone had a suspended driving privilege and she had no license. She was arrested.
A pat down of the passenger, identified as Joseph Henry Sprouse Jr., 36, of Lexington Park, was conducted for officer safety. A wooden box was located and Mr. Sprouse advised it contained Marijuana.
Mr. Sprouse was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Martone was charged with Driving while suspended and numerous other traffic violations.
