At 1:07 p.m. Nov. 9, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 3400 block of Tamarack Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary in progress. The suspects fled prior to officers’ arrival.

Investigation revealed one suspect knocked on the door while another attempted to force entry into the home through the back door. A teenage girl was home at the time and managed to flee to a neighbor’s house where she called 9-1-1.

Nothing appeared to have been stolen from the residence. The suspect at the front door was described as a black man with a muscular build. He was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a blue collared coat or shirt and may have had corn-row styled hair.
