Yoga in the Garden – June 11, Ages 3-5; 10:00-10:30 am; Ages 6 and up from 10:45-11:45am

This class is filled with yoga postures, partner poses, yoga games, breath and relaxation techniques, and lots of smiles. Enjoy quality time together while relaxing and experiencing nature. Weather permitting, this class will be in the park. Dress for the weather, bring a mat or beach towel and water bottle, and join us! No yoga experience necessary. Afterwards, stay and play in the park or enjoy the artLAB! Eco-Explorations – Wednesdays, June 15, 22 & 29; 10:00-11:00am
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, Solomons, Maryland. Come along on an eco-exploration as our staff naturalist, Hester Burch, leads youngsters and their caregivers on a hands-on exploration of the natural world of Annmarie Garden. Each session will explore something different. As always, families are also invited to bring in their own natural treasures for show & tell. Topics will include bluebirds, insects, shells, and bees. Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, Solomons, Maryland. Learn to use the potter’s wheel to create cups, bowls, and vases. No experience is necessary; all levels welcome. Beginners will focus on learning foundational skills. Experienced students can expect to focus on specific forms of interest and refine their techniques. Pre-registration is required. Swarm: Invasion of the Insects Exhibit; May 20-Aug. 28; Murray Arts Building
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, Solomons, Maryland. This exhibit finds its inspiration in the prolific world of insects, from their form and color, to their mating and eating habits, to their many intriguing survival strategies. Whether bugs are the fodder for fantastical artistic creations, or a means for artists to engage with the sciences, guests will find a lush exploration of the insect world. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, Annmarie Garden is located in scenic Solomons, Maryland, on the Chesapeake Bay.
