Lusby, MD – At approximately 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, volunteer crews from several Calvert County volunteer fire departments were dispatched to the White Sands subdivision for the report of a house fire on Power Drive.
According to a report issued by the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department (Company 3), the fire started in the home’s kitchen.
“The crew was met with heavy smoke and heat conditions,” the Company 3 report stated.
Crews remained at the scene until approximately 10 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
A report from the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is pending.
Lusby, MD – Several Calvert County volunteer firefighters were dispatched Wednesday evening, May 27 to a house fire on Power Drive in Lusby. Reports indicated smoke was showing and around 8:45 p.m. crews on the scene indicated they had the blaze under control. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is en route to the scene to investigate.
