Update from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department:
On May 6, 2015 at 9:39 a.m. units were alerted of a serious motor vehicle accident on Point Lookout Road in the area of Cullison Lane.
Chief 3 (Gould) and Squad 3 under direction of acting officer (Werkheiser) responded from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department.
While BDVFD was en route St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office confirmed from the scene that one victim was trapped.
Upon arrival Squad 3 removed both drivers side doors in order to free the victim.
The victim was freed from the vehicle and was transported to an area trauma center. Units cleared in under an hour.

Roadway is now cleared.
May 6, 9:43 a.m.
There has been a reported serious motor vehicle accident at 15971 Point Lookout Road, near Cullison Lane in Great Mills. One person is reportedly trapped. Please use caution in the area.
