
Huntingtown, MD – A two-story, single-family home in Huntingtown sustained $110,000 damage as a result of a fire that originated in the kitchen, state investigators reported.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office, the blaze was initially reported at 3:23 p.m. by a passerby. No injuries were reported.
Sixty firefighters from Huntingtown, Dunkirk, North Beach and Prince Frederick were dispatched to the one-alarm fire on Huntingtown Road. Crews brought the fire under control in 15 minutes.
“The cause of the fire was due to a pan being left unattended on the stove,” Dfm. Zach Dell stated. “The occupants are being assisted by friends and family.”
Dell, who along with Dfm. Melissa Decker conducted the investigation, identified the owners/occupants as Patty and Camillo Dilodovico.ย

Huntingtown,MD –ย On Tuesday, Aug. 11 at approximately 3:30 pm, there was a report of a house fire on Huntingtown Road.ย
The actual address was unknown at the time, but it was dispatch as approximately 1 mile in on Huntingtown Road from Lower Marlboro Road.ย ย
As units arrived on the scene found smoke showing from the left side of the house (side B).ย Multi attack lines were used to extinguish the fire and ventilation was required on the roof and windows.ย There was no one home at the time, but the homeowner did arrive later.
The Huntingtown Road was closed in both direction of the fire scene. The cause of fire is still under investigation.
