The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department responded to Nicolet Park in Lexington Park Thursday evening to take another shot at a brush fire that flared up in the area last month.
Firefighters got the call at 5:20 p.m. after witnesses reported seeing two logs smoldering.
The smoldering wood appears to have been a re-kindling of a blaze that firefighters battled on the afternoon of May 16 after witnesses said they saw two juveniles in the area throwing fireworks.
