HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — Calvert County emergency medical crews responded Saturday evening to a residence for a medical call involving a man reporting injuries from a prior motorcycle crash with a deer at 5500 block of Stephen Reid Road.
The call was received at 6:51 p.m. on May 16, through 9‑1‑1. According to the dispatcher, the patient, a 25‑year‑old man, was conscious, breathing, and fully alert but stated he “does not feel fine” and required additional medical evaluation. The incident indicated a potentially dangerous injury to a sensitive body area.
The patient had a head injury with minor bleeding, and multiple abrasions consistent with road‑rash‑type trauma. No neurological symptoms were noted during the initial assessment.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and the patient was transported to Calvert Health Medical Center in Prince Frederick.
