UPDATE from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office on 12/30/14:
St. Inigoes, MD – On Monday, Dec. 29 at 8:53 p.m., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Point Lookout Road in St. Inigoes, for a person injured in a motor vehicle accident.
The investigation revealed Thomas Franklin Clarke, 59, of St. Inigoes, had exited his vehicle when it began to roll backwards. The vehicle ran over Clarke’s leg and then struck a tree. Clarke was flown to an area hospital with a possible leg injury.

St. Inigoes, MD – Personnel from Ridge, Webster Field, Bay District, and Valley Lee were alerted for and responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in St. Inigoes Dec. 29 at 9 p.m.
According to witnesses the first arriving units found a person pinned underneath a vehicle. The victim had been working on the vehicle when the accident occurred.
After a lengthy extrication the injured person was transported via helicopter to a local trauma center.
