UPDATE: 10/26/13, 3:30 p.m. — According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office the shooting death on Morganza-Turner Road is apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
UPDATE: 10/26/13 at 9:15 a.m.: According to the Commander of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Capt. Terry Black: “There is not a shooter on the loose and the incident is an open investigation at this time.”

UPDATE: Emergency responders have been called to the scene of a shooting incident at shortly after 5 p.m. at 27000 Morganza Turner Road in the Oraville section of Mechanicsville. One person is confirmed dead. We have a reporter on the scene and will have more information as soon as it is available.
