Update: Ms. Wells and her two children were found safe and unharmed in Virginia just a short time ago. Details being confirmed.
White Plains, M.D.–ย The Charles County Sheriffโs Office is seeking the publicโs help in locating a mother and her two children who were reported missing on Aug. 24 from their home on Stewards Chance Lane in White Plains, M.D.
Kristy Lynn Davis Wells, 37, took her son, Elwood Piercy Wells, 9, and her daughter, Elia Anna Wells, 6, and left their home at about 8:15 p.m. without telling anyone where they were going.
A family member [who was working at the time] contacted a friend to check on their welfare after he was unable to reach them. After learning they were not home, the family member came home and began searching.
He called authorities at about 11:55 p.m. and reported them missing. Detectives developed information that Wells had stopped by a former neighborโs house in Severn, MD at about 10:30 p.m. last night but she did not indicate what she was doing or where she was going; the children were with her.
Wells is not under a doctorโs care; however, family members are concerned for their safety and well being. Ms. Wells did not take her wallet or cell phone and she has not had any known contact with anyone else. Wells is 5โ6โ, 135 pounds and has brown, shoulder length hair. Elwood is 4โ4โ, weighs 70 pounds and has short brown hair. Elia is 3โ6โ and weighs 50 pounds.
They may be in a 2014 silver-colored Subaru Cross Trec with MD tags 9BH4936. Anyone who sees the Wellsโ family is asked to call 911 or contact Sgt. K. Moody at (301) 932-2222. The investigation is continuing.
