New Market, MD – A two-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday evening, March 31 at 9:05 p.m., fire, authorities in St. Mary’s County reported. The crash occurred at the Route 235 (Three Notch Road) – New Market Turner Road intersection.
According to a report from the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, three people were injured as a result of the crash. One of the vehicles involved overturned as a result of the collision.
Two of the injured were transported via ambulances to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital while the third motorist was taken to University of Maryland Charles Regional Hospital.
Responders from St. Mary’s and Charles counties were dispatched to the scene.
Names of the injured have not been released and the accident remains under investigation by police.
Advisory: The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office reported at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 an accident on Route 5 northbound at Rt. 6 in Mechanicsville. A vehicle has overturned. Expect delays.
