WASHINGTON — Today, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen and Congresswoman April McClain Delaney (both D-Md.) will join a rally in Hagerstown with concerned citizens to oppose the Trump Administration’s reported plans to open an ICE detention facility in Hagerstown.
At the rally, the Senator will underscore his and Marylanders’ opposition to this proposal and speak on his commitment to opposing funding for the Trump Administration’s Department of Homeland Security without accountability, especially in the wake of ICE’s recent abuses in Minneapolis and across communities in Maryland.

Would be nice if they were more concerned for American Citizens than illegals. How about American citizens that have been raped, robbed, and murdered by illegals allowed into our Country with the open border. Get these out of touch politicians out of office fast.
If it was really about “illegals” then ICE wouldn’t be detaining U.S. citizens, mothers, children, elderly folks, people in churches and courtrooms. If you’re so worried about “the law” then why don’t you care about due process? Why is your president a convicted felon? Just say you’re racist man. Don’t hide it.

If Van Holler doesn’t like ICE, then change the laws and allow our country to be overrun. We are seeing paid protesters/rioters crying everywhere, except on Capitol Hill. Why don’t the protesters/rioters go after the lawmakers instead of the ones they hired to enforce the laws?
Once again a Democrat opposes enforcing our laws and is protesting a detention center for ILLEGAL aliens. It’s such a shame that a politician will put his own hatred for our President above the safety of the citizens of our country. I would highly recommend term limits for all elected officials and we should demand that this be put on the ballots of our next election. God Bless all the men and women of all types of law enforcement.
The whole Democratic Party needs to be voted out of office. It’s time we the people start taking a stand and have representatives that actually represent us. Not their own agenda!!
