Maryland State Fire Marshalls are investigating a arson case in Mechanicsville.
Firefighters from Mechanicsville responded to the 38300 block of Golden Beach Road on June 22 around 7:34 p.m., for report of a vehicle fire.
Upon arrival, a 1977 Cadillac Deville owned by Robert Stasch was found to be on fire. The fire was discovered by a neighbor. Investigation revealed the vehicle was non-operable and the fire was determined to have been intentionally set in the passenger compartment.
