PORT REPUBLIC, Md. — Firefighters responded Thursday afternoon after a vehicle caught fire next to a gas pump outside a Port Republic liquor store.
The fire was reported at approximately 1:10 p.m. on July 23, 2026, at Town & Country Liquors, located at 2707 St. Leonard Road in Port Republic.
Emergency dispatch information indicated a passenger vehicle was fully engulfed next to a gas pump.
Firefighters responded to the scene and the fire was later reported out. The incident involved extension only to the gas pump, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
