  1. Ok, numerous notices were put out about heavy traffic congestion in that area, and you people STILL run into the Amish
The driver needs to be charged with attempted murder and sentenced to minimum 20 years

    1. You don’t even know the situation while you’re sitting there typing like some damn keyboard warrior in your mom’s basement, wait for the facts before judging.

    1. you should not be on the road or have a way to type. they pay taxes just like we do.

      1. Uhmm…they do a LOT of bartering within their own community. Most drivers pay road taxes through fuel purchases (not sure how electric cars pay anything at this time). How do the Amish & Mennonite pay road taxes?…through hay purchases? Remember where I mentioned bartering?…yea.

        1. I know you probably won’t believe it, but the steel buggy wheels actually cause more damage to the paved surfaces than auto tires do.

    2. Those back roads have no shoulder…I have driven through that road and others like it . Knowing it is an Amish area, you drive slower and take necessary cautions on turns and cresting over hills etc. They deserve their way of life ,just as you deserve yours. If you drive in their areas, respect their way of life !

  2. It’s dangerous for the buggies to be on the road but way more dangerous to drive distracted. I hope police/investigators check phone/text activity during these ever increasing incidents.

  3. Living in 2024 and having horses and buggies on roads that are built for cars is a accident ready to happen.
Seriously people, Get with the time of year.

  4. They may pay taxes but they pay far less than us tax payer..
    Grow up,,
Horses and buggies shouldn’t be on ROADS.
enough of old still religious things,,

    1. “Roads built for cars “ ….. cool now we can get those damn bicyclist and people taking walks of the road also. Lock em up

  5. “Living in 2024 and having horses and buggies”
“enough of old still religious things”
“horses and buggies shouldn’t be on roads built for cars” (horses were on those roads way before cars)

Yeah! Nobody should have any rights, especially those who don’t follow ‘YOUR’ exact same life style and agenda.

  6. Can’t you people just be thankful it wasn’t a family of innocent young children peering out that back window . Yes, their lives and customs are different from yours, but yours are different from theirs too. Learn to accept others that don’t think exactly like you .

  7. Yall can say the Amish shouldn’t be on the road all you want. But the real problem is you idiots can’t drive. You are too worried about your instagoogletweetface. You’re in’s hurry to go no where. SLOW THE F DOWN. GET OFF YOUR DAMN PHONES. PAY ATTENTION.

  8. the amish were here long before you transplants were get over it and slow down!!!!!

  9. The Amish were here before your cars. The problem is not the Amish and their horse drawn buggies. And it’s not like the majority you don’t know the Amish are in the area. So the excuse of they shouldn’t be on the road is bs. The problem is all of you that go waaaaaay tooooo fast everywhere. You mess with your phones while you drive because your instagooglestweetface is soooooo important.

The solution is for you people to slow way down. Put your phones down. And behave like you are driving a damn weapon. Because that’s what it is when you are being negligent.

  10. To be perfectly honest, I’m jealous of the simplicity of Amish life. Is it too much to respect their way of life? Their lives are without our bs distractions. 10 years ago there would be no dispute about their right of way. Today’s generation just can’t see beyond themselves.

  11. These wonderful people are NOT Amish, they are Mennonite. They do use Gas and pay fuel taxes, not just the way automobile owner do. and they do pay property taxes, and sales taxes, and fuel taxes on fuel they do use for different things. they have the same right to use the same road as everyone else. and they do have a right to reach their destination safely without being hurt by automobile drivers!

  12. Amish… Mennonite… they DON’T pay road taxes to use the roads. Steel wheels DO cause more damage to road surfaces.
