On Feb. 1, Deputy Bowen responded to a residence of Columbus Drive in Lexington Park, for a 911 hang up. Investigation revealed the victim and Willie Jae Johnson, 27 of Lexington Park,were engaged in a verbal dispute which became physical when Johnson dragged the victim across the floor. The victim was able to get free. Johnson then pushed the victim’s head against the wall causing a hole in the wall. The victim dialed 911 and Johnson unplugged the phone causing it to disconnect. Deputy Bowen arrived shortly after the call disconnected.
Willie Johnson was arrested and charged with assault and destruction of property. Search incident to Johnson’s arrest revealed a small plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana on his person. Johnson was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
