The Charles County Commissioners invite citizens to attend the Waldorf Beautification Project kickoff event on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m.ย ย Commissioner Vice President Reuben B. Collins, II (District 3) will formally announce plans for the Waldorf Beautification Project, an exciting new initiative that will give businesses, homeowners associations, neighborhood representatives, civic and charitable organizations, students, and distinguished elected officials an opportunity to join together to make a difference.
The event will be held at the VanGO Park-and-Ride lot, at the intersection of Crain Highway (U.S. Route 301) and Smallwood Drive West near the St. Charles Towne Center mall.ย The program will begin promptly at 3 p.m. and is open to the public.
The Waldorf Beautification Project has been a longtime goal of Commissioner Collins for several years.ย “I’ve waited a long time to jump-start this project, and I appreciate the endorsement and approval of the County Commissioners and the community.ย This is just the beginning.ย We will have many phases of the Waldorf Beautification Project and awareness of the anti-littering portion is a vital part,” said Commissioner Collins.ย
