WALDORF, Md. โ An Uber driver and his passenger were hospitalized after their vehicle flipped over in a two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash in the early hours of Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 2:53 a.m. to the 2000 block of Crain Highway for a report of a vehicle rollover. Initial reports indicated a person may have been trapped, but command on the scene quickly confirmed that was not the case.
According to dispatch logs, the crash involved two vehicles, one of which fled the scene after the collision. The remaining vehicle, an Uber, had rolled over. The female passenger and the male Uber driver were both injured in the crash.
Paramedic ambulances transported both patients to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The male driver was reported to be bleeding from the face.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run. No description of the fleeing vehicle was immediately available.
