Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Maryland in Effect Until 4 PM

SOMD – Mixed precipitation in portions of southern Maryland until 4 PM EST this afternoon. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

The Snow Emergency Plan for St. Mary’s County was canceled at 10:00 a.m. today. Please remember to drive with caution and watch for ice areas.
