BALTIMORE, Md. – Snow forecasting is difficult, and last night’s was among the more challenging. We were reasonably sure there would be a tight gradient from very little to much more snow, but just where that would be was uncertain. In those cases our forecast tends to err towards making the gradient less tight due to uncertainty. As it turned out, the gradient was just north of DC and south of Baltimore.
