Sergeant Pat Reilly #136
Sheriff Berry and the CCSO family were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of retired Sergeant Pat Reilly #136. Sgt. Reilly served the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years and served in the Patrol Division, Community Services Section, and Criminal Investigations Section. He was nominated for numerous awards, including the Baltimore Sun Officer of the Year and Knights of Columbus Officer of the Year. He cared about solving crimes and seeking justice for victims in Charles County, and was heavily involved with Crime Solvers. In fact, he was the first coordinator for Charles County Crime Solvers, which started in 1981.
He was a beloved member of our community, best known for “Deputy Dogs” and many local commercials. It’s been said that “he had a heart of gold and could always make you laugh, even on a tough day.” Our hearts are with Sgt. Reilly’s family today and in the difficult days ahead.
