PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A 49-year-old woman was arrested after Calvert County sheriff’s deputies say she repeatedly screamed profanities at officers and caused a disturbance at a Prince Frederick park-and-ride while crews were responding to a vehicle fire.

Stacey Lynn Goode, 49, was charged Aug. 7 with intoxicated public disturbance and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

According to a statement of probable cause filed in Calvert County District Court, a deputy responded Aug. 7 to the park-and-ride at Fairground Road and Silverwood Lane in Prince Frederick to assist the fire department with a vehicle fire.

When deputies arrived, they contacted Goode, who was identified in the charging document as the owner of the vehicle involved.

A deputy wrote that Goode appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol and was acting belligerently.

According to the charging document, Goode repeatedly yelled at the deputies.

The deputy said Goode used profanities toward deputies numerous times despite being repeatedly instructed to stop yelling and lower her voice.

The deputy wrote that those instructions did not resolve the situation, and Goode continued shouting.

According to the charging document, Goode acknowledged that she was drunk but did not tell deputies what alcoholic beverages she had consumed.

According to the probable cause statement, the disturbance was loud enough to wake a man who had been sleeping inside a vehicle in the park-and-ride.

The man told deputies he had been asleep when he heard Goode yelling and got out of his vehicle to determine what was happening.

Court documents say Goode subsequently directed an insult toward the man while continuing to yell.

Goode also allegedly continued shouting profanities toward the deputies as they attempted to manage the disturbance.

The deputy wrote that he and another deputy repeatedly instructed Goode to stop yelling.

According to the charging document, she continued walking around the park-and-ride while shouting.

The deputy stated that because of what he described as Goode’s continued disorderly behavior, apparent intoxication in a public location and the resulting disturbance, deputies placed her under arrest.

Goode was initially uncooperative while being placed into the patrol vehicle, according to the charging document.

She continued yelling at deputies before eventually sitting in the secure rear portion of the patrol vehicle, according to the court filing.

Goode was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center without further incident.

Goode was granted a $750 unsecured personal bond on Aug. 7. Court records show the bond was posted that day.

Goode is scheduled for trial Sept. 16 in Calvert County District Court.
