Woman arrested for alleged assault with knife

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – On September 21, 2018, Dep. Forbes responded to the 46000 block of Sell Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. 

Investigation determined Karen Louise Ferriter, age 49 of Lexington Park, confronted a group of individuals in the neighborhood and began yelling racial slurs.  During the incident Ferriter grabbed one victim by the neck, and when another victim interceded Ferriter produced a pocket knife, and cut the second victim on the chin. 

Ferriter was arrested and charged with Assault First Degree and Assault Second Degree.  CASE# 50497-18
