At 8:58 P.M. on June 8, 2011, Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department Co. 1, Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad Co. 19, Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad Co. 59, and St. Mary’s Advanced Life Support were alerted for the reported head on collision on the 24000 block of Colton Point Rd in Morganza. Chief 100A responded along with Squad 1 and Engine 10 from Company 1, Ambulance 198 and 199 from Company 19, Ambulance 598 and 599 from Company 59, and Medic 291 from St. Mary’s ALS along with MD State and St. Mary’s County Police. Crews arrived to find two vehicles involved, including one that contained an intoxicated female that the police were already on a lookout for. The female made a short unsuccessful attempt to run from the police upon their arrival and then was detained. Ambulance 199 and 599 each transported a patient to St. Mary’s, including the intoxicated female, with the medic on board of Ambulance 199. Crews were on scene for 37 minutes.
